After making it up the stairs and seeing the long corridor in front of him, John makes an executive decision. He fishes his keys out of his pocket, finds the key he's never used and opens the door to Aeryn's room.
"I can't go any further," he says and collapses on her bed.
John wakes up first this morning and he's not exactly sure why. The small remainders of the common dream float away and he's careful to not wake Aeryn when he rolls out of bed.
He takes a seat at Aeryn's desk, pulls out a sheet of paper, a pen and starts writing something.
The sea monkeys are on the floor in front of Aeryn's room. The tank's kinda heavy and John thought he might drop them. Hence, the trip to Aeryn's room took about fifteen minutes.
The sea monkeys are unharmed. John's shirt is stained with syrup.
John...hasn't done much of anything today. He'd gotten out of bed to shower and grab some clothes but he's right back in Aeryn's bed, dozing lightly. Not asleep but it was a long night. Prom and then radio with Professor Skeeter had sapped his energy.
...well, other things had sapped the energy too. Oh well. This was nice.
After the party (and hoping that Aeryn's not too worn out), John's leading her back to her room. He's already stopped at this room to pick up her presents and now he's just waiting for her to unlock the door.
John hangs up with Aeryn, grabs the sea monkeys and heads out the door. Of course, in doing so, he forgot his shoes and socks so he's barefoot and grinning.
John opens the unlocked door of room 209 and leads Cameron inside. To get him fully into the room, he gives him one more little push before shutting the door and locking it behind him.
And he doesn't budge from the door.
Inside the room, Cam's facing Molly, Aeryn, and Kawalsky.
The walk from 238 to 209 is not far and it doesn't take particularly long except when you're trying to hit people who aren't there and are vehemently muttering to people who are not there.
So, he manages to make it to 209 and knock but when Aeryn opens the door, he's frantically trying to swat away something no one else can see.
